I don't want to sound apathetic about all of this discussion because we all have our own minds and ideas and feel strongly about them. That's our right and privelege as Americans.

I enjoy sharing stories and pictures of trips and trophies with others, and if I can offer some help or suggestion as to how or where to better fish for whatever species, that is what this board is meant for.

So, this week has been real hit and miss for fishing but water conditions are improving, the clarity is great and the water temperatures are up to 56 degrees this morning. Over on the Sac the water has cleared enough to start fishing as well but is still a little off.

With the clear water on the Feather a more realistic color pattern seems to be the ticket, at least for the last two mornings anyway. I always start with the standard chartruese/white combination before daybreak as an attractor pattern, but as the morning gets brighter go to a more realistic baitfish pattern with big eyes.

Here's a couple from yesterday and this morning.

I agree 100% and never intended for that thread to go the way it did. I hope to see you at the capitol in April so I congratulate you in person for completing the course
