Fished the Lower Sac 3/11 with my son Alec and good friends Tim and Lawrence. We hired Bryan Balog and Chris Parsons out of the Fly Shop and while it was not the scenic tour of the river we had hoped for the these guys did a great job of salvaging a tough weather day that produced good numbers of quality fish all in the city limits.

Due to high winds the drift was limited from the Posse Grounds to the Marina take out, obviously the guides spent most of the day back rowing with almost every drift generating a grab. Hot flies were, again, the brown rubber legs and the Oregon Cheese Micro Spawn (caught the largest fish), olive PT but a myriad of other flies (PT's, Zugs, Prince, etc) generated grabs, fish appeared to be feeding on what they could see through the murk.

Water conditions started well (4 -5 feet) but the days down pour took a toll and muddied the water significantly. Still a great day but suggest letting things clear for at least a few days.
