With a few more sunny days in a row we can have bass and panfish moving into the shallows of the smaller lake and ponds.

It takes very little to warm up water that is shallow.

Take the water temperature new time you are out there.

I look forward to this time every year. It means more fishing with my daughters, and them getting more action. Panfishing with my daughters make for a good day.

We have 5 grandkids so it is really fun taking them fishing too.

Most of us started fishing with bass & panfish.

We caught carp with home made dough balls too.

I've been out the last 3 weekends hoping to find some active gills, but no luck yet. Got a couple descent lmb's though, but no numbers yet. I know it is early but I can't wait. I want to catch gills now! I will be back out again Saturday afternoon, hopefully something will turn on, if not oh well it is better than sitting at home tying flies.
