Here is a great little piece of writing that demonstrates just what salmon and steelhead are up against...Feinstein knows so little about the subject that she thought Shasta was spilling over the top (i guess we better raise shasta dam). She was even willing to make a bet about it, and this is the person who almost had legislation passed that would dismiss the Endangered Species Act. She got her info from Westlands and was going to run with it. We can not let our guard down. One signature on one bill might be the last straw for the delta. We at least need to make sure our representatives are informed with info provided to them from someone other than their high paying donors. One nice thing about it is that Feinstein said she was crucified by editorials, good to know she was hearing it. Our letters, our phone calls and the editorials got to her. Enjoy this little article...it is funny and sad.

It's an interesting read on this ongoing problem. I don't want to get to political but this should be read and given some thought by all fisherman.
