I'm up here in Yuba City, but I was wondering about all of those red dots on your world map at the bottom of the page. These dots span the entire globe from some obscure places like the middle of Russia, to India, to Japan, etc. Let's here from some of those far off guys and what do they do for fly fishing where they're at. :)

Greetings Earthlings,

Originally from the tiny invisible satellite moon Dingo which revolves around Uranus, I was exiled back to planet earth by the Fruit of the Loom government to seek out the best fly fishing locations.
Fortunately most of my family are herbivores, and I release most fish......
Spend many great days with friends at Pyramid and other still water fisheries.

Work in Sacto, where I can see a short stretch of the Sac from my office window 14 floors up.

Live in Folsom, 1 mile from the lake. Also 1 mile from the house my parents moved into 18 months ago to be near me and my kids. The folks are literally the first house across the street from one of the boat ramps. It's terrible. Took me about 2 minutes to drive over this morning, hook the boat to my dad's truck, and then we had to wait at the light to cross over to the lake. Since this was a "dad's choice" day, we trolled for landlocked salmon and trout today (got one of each, dad got one small trout). Air temp around 60 and dead calm; water temp about 53.

Now I have to go run to the store and buy a steelhead card so I can go swing the American for Steelhead in the morning with a friend. Next week I'm borrowing dad's boat and heading for the Delta to chase stripes.

So many fish, so little time off from work....

Mike

I fish mostly salt nowadays from Malibu to Santa Barbara chasing the usual suspects.
Perch, halibut, sharks, croaker, and sight fishing for corbina in the summer.
Occasionally get a trip or a few up north to visit friends and fish the rivers up there.
It has been nice to meet and fish with folks from the board either down in my neck of the woods or up north.

Interesting thread and surprising range of geography. I'm a local guy, living in Carmichael, only 3 miles from Bill's shop and less than a mile from the American. This time of year it's the Yuba, the Moke, or the Calaveras if I want to get away from the break-ins on the A.

Sir: out of respect to Mr. Kiene and his staff who work very hard to allow us this opportunity of enjoying discussions about our love of fly fishing and all it entails...I will not engage anyone who is suffering pain or any other health problems in a discussion about the law...right or wrong.

Enjoy your cigar.
