Was swinging the A today. Caught a turtle. Thing was an easy 2lbs. Tripped me out...

Did you hook him in the mouth?? LOL... I remember fishing a pond up north once and was using dragon flies for bait and this big old turtle kept coming after them. Luckily I could see it coming most of the time and reel up before it clamped on.

When i Hiked the JMT two years ago i caught a Yellow legged frog at Wanda Lake in Kings Canyon... don't tell the Sierra Club!

What did you do? Remove the hook or just cut it off? I guess it would depend on the type of turtle. Not sure I want to put my fingers anywhere near the mouth of some species.
