Been up most of the night working on video's and decided to add a couple video's to my website. One is the trip we took in October for the Yellow Fin Tuna. I've also updated the Home page with a note regarding the baja trips.

In the coming weeks, I'll be adding another pattern to the Fly Tyer's Corner and most likely a video on tying a particular pattern. I haven't made a decision on what pattern will be filmed.

Those scenes on "Dorado Bite #2" with the dorado feeding taken below the surface are really neat. It shows how they drop down a little and then get brought back up with the chum. Another part that is cool are the sardinas racing for cover around the boat. Poor little guys don't have a chance out there in that big open water.

My group of guys are all getting pumped about going again and these video's really bring back the memories.

Now, you need to show some underwater tuna or toro feeding for comparison. Those skippies and yellowfin are like bullets when they go after the bait and THEY DON'T SLOW DOWN! :)

See ya at Pleasanton,
TONY

That one you are holding Tony looks like it is made out of gold?

Fantastic fishing for fly fishers.

Thanks

PS: If you have not been to Baja yet I highly recommend you go on one of Jay's personally hosted trips to La Paz. I went recently and it is one of the best values in fly fishing travel. Jay goes for a few months down there and new groups come every week. I love the water down there and the town of La Paz was a wonderful place too. It is very well run and you will catch a large variety of spectacular saltwater species. Many of us at the shop have been to Baja and the East Cape a lot so we can help you get geared up with exactly the right tackle. I think May/June is the timing.

Lots of folks on this BB, like Darian and Tony go every year with Jay too so plenty of great help and info here.

I plan on taking the big video camera and both GoPro cameras. The HD one will be mounted of a extension pole so I can get deeper the other one will be mounted on the chest harness. The Canon GL1 will be doing all the main filming.
If I get enough footage from the past years and new footage this year, I hope to make a DVD on Baja fishing. I'm thinking about taking the first week, renting a car and driving down to the East Cape and do some filming. So far I have no one signed up for that week.
Someone could be missing a great opportunity for some dorado and roosters. This past season we had mucho dorado between the island and La Ventana, wahoo off the southend of Cerralvo. Marlin half way between the island and the "88".

Ya just never know...

I've scheduled the week of Oct 9 - 16 for a YFT week. Hopefully Rick's brother won't show up..... Anyone interested - send me an email.

Hope to see everyone at the Pleasanton show.. I'll be doing a Baja presentation on Friday at 2:30pm and Ken & I will be doing a presentation on Fighting big fish.. Both a power point and hands on presentation. Ken's rigged something up... I think a Jeep winch

I'd love to see a video that included a big toro "noshing" on a popper. Saw it live watching Scott V., but to share with others would be awesome
