Skagit "commando" Mike McCune is here again....

......on Saturday, February 6, 2010 @ 10:00am at the Watt Avenue access on the Lower American River to put on a demonstration of the short Skagit fly fishing/fly casting techniques.

Mike has been guiding fly fishers for over 20 years.

Mike McCune, Scott O'Donnell and Ed Ward all work together as guides and instructors as "Speywater Guide Service"

They work annual in Alaska, Oregon and Washington with a flare for the smaller, shorter Spey rods with shorter Skagit heads.

Hi Bill,

Any more information on the event ? how long will it last ? admission fee? Is it ok to bring my new Spey rod and try it out after getting a few pointers ?

The event is free and will run a few hours.

Bring your rods.....& waders!
