not caught on the fly but gets the juices flowin! I nymphed and spey fished all day to no avail.

That's the sweet spot for landing a hot, wild steelie... a hook through the tongue rarely shakes loose and is unquestionably eaten rather than lined...

It measured about 28.5" and fought like a champ!
and I wouldnt mind a couple spoon flies Jeff if it'll get me a fish like that!

As soon as duck season is over, might have to go try for a steelhead. If they'll eat a spoon will have to try some small striper flies lol and see what happens.
