Imagine my surprise, when my wife and daughter present me with this on Christmas morning:

Unbeknownst to me, they had taken the cert from the mail and gotten a frame for it. Wow! There's no way this could've happened without the help from so many of you. Thank you! I hope you all have a Happy New Year!

Congrats. Very cool.

I know the guy who got number 130... one of those fish, I'm pretty sure, was a sucker. ;-)

Thanks guys!

Scott, you're on! The Kern is an amazing river. I am so wanting summer to be here ;-)

Frank.S, how funny. Mine is #129. Here are some links to reports that I submitted earlier this year:

I finished up the challenge at the end of September, but looks like it takes a while for DFG to get the awards out.

And Darian, yep, these ladies don't get any more special.

I did the HTC a couple of years ago, I'm #66, and to answer your (much) earlier question, Fish and Game only gave out hats to the first 100 anglers to complete the HTC.

Doing this program inspired me to search for and catch other exotic trout and salmonoids all over the west. So far I've caught 31 different kinds, with plans to catch more in the near future.

Hey, the HTC is only the start...:D

Cheers!
