Went to the Klamath a couple of days ago. Somewhere along 96. It was our first time on this river, but did pretty well. I landed around 18 fish swinging flies. No adults. Only half pounders up to 22". The story of the day belongs to my fishing partner Ted. He hooked a large fish that took his fly line. The full story is in the comment section of my blog.

Never the less, it was a great day with zero crowds. Weather was nippy and our guides kept freezing up. But other than that and some cold toes, it was great.

Here is a picture of one of the little half pounders I caught. The picture doesn't do him justice. He was a stocky little guy.

Hey speyfool nice report. I am heading up to the Klamath with a buddy or two this weekend. Forcasts call for 20 to 40 degree weather and rain/snow friday, sat & sun. Should be great steeleadin weather.

We will be camping on the river. No whimps allowed.

My drift boat is in Oregon so we will be wade fishing also with spey rods. I will also bring along my nymphing gear.

Has anyone else fished the klamtah lately?

If we find Ted's fly line we'll let you know.
