This report is a couple of weeks old, but hopefully it will still be interesting.

Unfortunately, we found the water conditions very cold, and the fishing tough. However, we did manage a few adults, and a number of 1/2 pounders.

It was my first trip with a 2-handed rod, and I really enjoyed the experience. I now understand why steelhead fishermen prefer this type of rod for swinging flies!

Check out my blog for more pictures and story.

I guess some of our friends ran into you guys up there.

Wonderful photos Lee.

I think October is my favorite month, on average, for swinging flies on the Klamath River for Steelhead.

Hi Bill,

Years ago, the primary month, for the Klamath, was October. However, in that month we found good numbers of 1/2 pounders, but few adults.
We have been pushing our trips into middle of November in an attempt to find more adult
steelhead.

Cheers, Bill

Lee, that fisrt picture looks like the China Point put in.

What size pontoon boat is that? I've got a small 7 ft pontoon boat which i thought about bringing this weekend to the Klamath but I think it is too small for the klamath.
