went to American river bend park today around 3 ish fished the first riffle if you turn left once you enter the park its kind of a deep pool also, caught nothing but did see 2 or three big red salmon swim behind me up the riffle that was cool to see and then another one in this like stream look a like peace of water.

If you can see fish swimming up river behind you, You are either wading too deep or standing near a red. It is salmon spawning season on the rivers so be careful where you walk or fish. Good luck and keep up the reports.
