Went out today to Goethe Park with the guy i ran into yesterday, we first went to the right once you pull into the park and walked down by the two garage cans and fished to the right of there and fished the whole thing tell it got to deep to wade there was a mayfly hatching going on also it was around um.....10 ish. Then we drove to the other side, were if you come into the park you would turn left. Walked on the path that goes to your left and you will see some water then a little island then more water sorry riffle on the other side of the little island. So we fished were the little island ends it runs into a little riffle and then into a very deep pool ! :eek: i mean really deep so be careful if you don't already know the area you have like 2 to 3 steps before it just drops off. I lost three files to the bottom of that today. That's were i caught a little steelhead there in that deep pool. Thinking i was going to change to a full floating line i hooked it on the swing, i was thinking it hit bottom which shocked me so I set the hook and fish on. It was almost 12 O'clock, on a birds nest size 6 about. Talk to a guy that was floating the river today same area and he said he caught a 23 incher at Watt on something i could not hear and a egg pattern.
