Upper Rogue Steelhead

Floated the upper Rogue yesterday afternoon. First ran into a big blue winged olive hatch but we both forgot floatant so only managed one 12" trout. Back to steelheading caught & released this 22" fish. Sure looks like a resident rainbow but if it is a steelhead must have been in the river since July or so.

Then caught & released this bright 25" hatchery steelhead.
