Well I've got enough gear (too much), and mountains of tying material - So
a new floating line and a couple hundred hooks would be really cool. But more than
than anything I want a big water year for Eagle Lake, and the rest of Nor Cal!

Due to the recession santa was short handed so he sent me the plans for a pram. Should be finished by christmas.

It would to be either a 9'6" or 10' Winston BiiX 7 weight with a green Galvan T-6, the color of the reel is negotiable ...LOL

Careful what you wish for L.T. I haven't had a day off in a month. Only two days on the water since Sept 1.

Asking Santa for some time on a drift boat. Paul

Word on that Shig!...what about the two man version??!! Kinda pricey
but sure looks sweet.

I'm actually eyeing the McKenzie Drifter ST X2...only $2,200.

I swear I've been good too.

I am thankful for so much, family, health, work and play. I wish for tailing bones, busting ahi, lit up mahi, and a marlin small enough to land on the fly. I plan for trips and dream of destinations. I am thankful for the friends I've made through flyfishing, and especially the ones on this board, Mems.

Hi: I am new to this forum, but your pram caught my eye. In a past lifetime (back in the 70's) I found myself in France for several years teaching sailing. We used prams as the water taxi shuffling folks back and forth from land to whatever vessel they needed to get to. They're wonderful little boats and you have a quite a beauty under construction. Good luck with it.

The inside is not finished but it has been in the water. It only weighs about 65lbs so it floats high and handles like a small drift boat. I plan to build one with a natural finish this spring.

Great job,.... That looks like a very comfortable fishing platform. 8) BTW, do you have some idea how much it weighs  Are you able to "cartop" or does it fit in the back of a pick-up

Again, great job.... :D

Black Cloud

Thanks Darian, the size is 7'-11"x 47", fits in the back of a regular truck. The basic weight was about 65lbs but with the extras added, storage box , floor platform, seats , I think it is closer to 80lbs.

Joey and I would like to fish with David Lee and Ed Wahl some time in the new year. We know David but never have met Ed but he seems like someone we would enjoy meeting and fishing with him. I hope you guys/gals all have a Merry Christmas. Happy New Year and you get all the stuff you really want but don't need.

Tight Lines & Full Stockings,

Joe

I'm hoping for another fishing trip where I know absolutely no one, until I get to the airport, and wind up spending 7 days with the nicest bunch of guys(and gal) I've ever met. Thanx Jay, Scott, Steve, Joan, Jim, Maury, Terry, and especially Bill. You're all special.
