I went out to the San Joaquin River to check out the flows...Right now it is flowing about 700 cfs....I'm use to seeing it at 150cfs....The river looks like it's in great shape....So hopefully, the restoration starts soon, so the salmon can once again come back home to the SJ. The cool thing is not just salmon will be coming up but all the other different species of fishes that strive the Delta will be in the system to.....Ming

Thanks for sharing.

It's cool when humans make decisions which help rather than harm nature~:)

I grew up on an urban creek (Alameda Creek) back in the late 60's early 1970's and it is currently in the process of being restored to sustain migratory salmon and steelhead thanks to Jeff Miller and many others who spoke up and were heard...

Now the attention of we conservationists is on the SFPUC and their recent negligence in submitting a proper EIS/EIR for their rebuild of the Calaveras Dam but that's another long story and would be best placed on the conservation/issues board.

Nice photos you captured~
