There is a wonderful documentary on PBS TV on the Buffalo River in Arkansas right now.
I watched it last night and it was just spectacular.
I will float and camp on it someday myself. It is 135 miles long and great canoeing water.
Looks like it has Smallmouth Bass and other pan-fish in it.
We are very lucky that good people fought hard to keep it from being dammed up and they made it the first "National River" too.
Try to watch it if you can.....it is worth the time.
