Fished about ten miles below Grants Pass this AM. The salmon are just beginning to come on the redds. Hooked & lost a fish of about 22-23" and then caught this pretty fish of about 18"s.

Gordon - very pretty fish - curious what rod and line system are you using ?

Rick: It is a 3 piece Anderson, 7 weight 13'3". Got my Ross reel at Gary's and he added the line so do not have hard specifics on the line.

I think I have that same rod - really a great stick!!! The 3-piece was his original series I think and he has since updated it - it is a powerful rod. For casting big chickens for winter fish I have been using a skagit 650 on the rod!
