Fished Heenan on Friday, Oct. 2. Got on the water by 9:00 and the wind started blowing at 10:00. It got much stronger after 12:00. We finally started kicking back from "Lone Pine Point" at about 2:00 and it took nearly an hour to make it to the launch. I thought about getting out of the lake and walking back. Probably would have been faster.
We caught 4 fish between two of us from 14 to 20 inches. All on buggers, black and rust-brown.
Others in our group fished Heenan on Saturday and got blanked - not even a bump.
