Nice weather now, finally it's October!!!!

I just looked at www.weather.com and it says 72 to 82 degree high in Sacramento for the next 10 days.

This is one of our nicest months to be outside all day long.

It's not too hot and not too cold, yet.

This is one of our best overall fly fishing months too so try to get out there.

November is good too.

December, January and February are not very consistent months for fly fishing because the weather is so unstable and the water is so cold.

You can go for winter Steelhead then but it's not for everyone.

17 degrees this morning and a trace of snow. Weather looks good through next week, sunny and mild. Those Lake Davis rainbows will really get on the grab now and will stay in the shallows (1 to 2 feet of water) for longer periods of time!

Tuesday looks like the opportunity for a good deal of precipitation for an early season storm. Moisture from Typhoon Melor is adding its remnants.
Definitely needed.
