During the 49 Fire in North Auburn on August 30 a property along Rock Creek was burned. On Sunday October 4 volunteers will help the property owner spread 45 bales of straw and 8 yards of shredded bark on the ground. This will prevent sediment run off into Rock Creek and protect downstream spawning areas from damage. You can help with this important job. If you can come out and help on Sunday please contact Scott Johnson by calling 530-878-1566 and please invite others.
Volunteers should bring gloves, sturdy shoes, drinking water and work clothes. If you have a shovel, pick or rake we will need some of those on hand but mostly we need many hands to spread the straw.
