Here is a photo of a great Silver Salmon that Terry Thomas landed on his recent trip to BC.

Went with Terry and our great group of insatiable anadromous anglers last week...we had all hoped for steelhead but due to weather conditions, seemingly relentless rain (a welcome reprieve from 100 degree heat), and the opportunity to fish relatively clear, near to the salt coho rivers, I think we all gained a new perspective regarding perhaps the closest species to our beloved steelhead.
I received an education on fresh, near-fresh and somewhat stale coho. The newly entered coho pull, run and fight incredibly well compared to the fish that have been there for a while. (Duh!!!) But the fact of the matter is that you have to explore every nook and cranny to find the freshies and that is exactly why I go back to fish with Dustin and his knowledgeable guides at Nicholas Dean year after year.
The wealth of experience I gained fishing these coho drowned my disappointment that few steelhead were landed...I think others feel the same way.
Another trip has sadly ended to the anadromous kingdom, B.C. I'll be back!

Great fish guys!

Don, what'd you have in the pipe? Perhaps a nice, classic English blend?
