I'm heading to the Bahamas on Jan 14-18. Grand Bahama to be exact. This will mostly be self-guided. If you have any spots I can check out on foot/car, I'd love to hear about it. I was there last December and found some flats I could walk out on, but it would be good to have more than the 3 options I have now.
I have figured out it is roughly 9,460,000 seconds until I'm walking a flat. Let the rather extensive count down begin!

Aloha Bjorn, have a good trip. There are tons of big bones there, but watch out for the sharks. There are some easy flats to wade on the way to McCleans town. I got this fish right across from the dock at Sweetentown. Mems.

I found some flats out East too... I'll have to check out Sweetentown. I saw some sharks last year, but nothing over 2.5 feet or so. I'll keep my eyes open!

This one was about 6 feet long and would eat the bones right in front of you. They would hunt down the ones you released and still get them, cause they were tired. The only consolation is there are thoudsands of bones there. Good luck, that place has the most bonefish I have ever seen. You should do well, Mems.

yeah, I was reading some stuff about C&R and if there is a shark in the area, the survival rate of released bones is about 0%... same for a big Cuda. I also read that if you do that "back and forth" thing in the water that works for trout, you basically kill the bone. Eaks!
I'm very, very much looking forward to the trip... only 108 days to go, or so.
