Poked around the San Joaquin look'n for KD's top water action. I fished last light yesterday and first light today for a bunch of small subsurface stripers and one dandy LM. Had a nice top water striper blow up this morn'n, no sticky. It felt very good gett'n the fly rod back in my hand.

Wow, very nice! May I ask what fly you got her on? Good for you, must have put a real nice bend in the rod. Don't care about location but would you care to detail the hookup? (Some of us have to live vicariously at times. :D)

Hey Mike,

I caught that fish yesterday afternoon around 6:30. Your typical tule edge in the main stem of the SJ. I was targeting striper's when she ate, good stuff on the 6 noodle. This is the fly. Just a simple hand tie that I hack together.
