Everyone,
I just spoke to my buddy who is up at Daguerre Pt. Dove Hunting and he bumped into a guy towing a driftboat out of there saying he has been catching Salmon all month! He thought this guy looked like a guide as he had a bunch of stickers all over his truck. Regardless, I told my friend to call CALTIP immediately. Salmon is CLOSED to fishing in the entire valley. Does not mean catch & release or fishing with a 10 wt. for steelhead. You see a salmon get your line out of the water and leave them alone. We all need to be super vigilant as some people still don't get it. Point is keep you eyes peeled and your ears open.

Funny how it seems like a lot of people don't know Salmon is closed....... You think there would be big signs posted wherever you could get a license or something

My buddy told me this guy was driving a Gray Dodge Pickup with stickers pulling a driftboat. He did tell him he is a guide and has been catching Salmon for a month above the dam. Look I'm not on a witch hunt. I am not connected in the guide fraternity up there but someone out there may know this guy. Please tell him that Salmon fishing is CLOSED! Means no targeting for catch and release fishing. Nothing! These fish are totally off limits until further notice from DFG. There are wardens who patrol that area this time of year and don't mess around.

Trust me, the wardens dont mess around. Jumped me from out of the bushes thinking I was deer poaching when I was walking around at dusk looking for rising fish...scared the crap out of me....and them...
