Terry Thomas, Sam Dasher, John Hogg and I are headed for a few days of jet-boating on the lower Klamath River. This is a tradition for us now that we really look forward to.
High air temps for this next week will be 65 degrees near the mouth of the river but it will be in the 80s up stream 20 miles.
We will be swinging small classic patterns on floating lines early and late with the sun off the water to hopefully hook some fresh run Steelhead right out of the ocean.
We will try to catch a few small fresh run jack salmon to bring home in the cooler too.
The lower river is wide open gravel bars and really fun to fish, especially with a light Spey rod with a ratchet reel for audio entertainment.
Will get some pictures with my new WP Olympus P&S
