Dont know where to post this(tying, stripers, saltwater?), but while picking up some flies from Charlie Bisharat today he showed me his latest fly. He tied it for Jay Murakoshi, for billfish or whatever. The top fly is tied on a tube, while the bottom fly I believe is a 10/0 Trey Combs. The middle fly is 2/0 clouser for a bit of perspective, and as you can see they are about 13"long. I cant wait to get one for myself

Geez Charlie.

Do you cast those or just put saddles on 'em and ride out to the fish?

13 inches long.

If that was a trout I'd release it.

If it was 2 trout I'd probably wrap them in foil with some lemon pepper and cook 'em up in the campfire. :D

Sometimes I just can't stop myself.

Yeah, I just received an email from Charlie telling me that there were photo's of the flies. I wish I could tie flies that fast. I tie one fly a week and that's putting a fire under my ***.
I'm just too lazy to sit and tie. I guess after tying for 35 years and roughly averaging 2,000 dozen flies a year at my peak, it's time for me to semi-retire from this game.

Except, that I'm or I should say we are working on three top water bass flies. These are definitely going to be different. A sneak preview my be up and coming soon. And what this has done is get me back into air brushing. Something I start back in high school, painting custom chopper gas tanks. Then it was air brushing my balsa wood poppers - many thousands of them. Soon I got tired of that and laid down the AB.

Great photo's Charlie.... Can't wait too watch a marlin/sailfish, wahoo or dorado chase that monster...... I got a striper itch
