Anyone ever fished Slovenia (former province in Yugoslav Republic) for Marble Trout? Headed there (and Italy) in October for 2 weeks and looking for a guide/service/info. Heard these are really similar to large Bull Trout as they are a European Charr. Thanks!

You might post this question on Dan Blanton's BB too?

I've been there a few times...but no fishing. The people there are great; and the mountain rivers are beautiful. I did some white-water rafting there and was wishing I had a fly rod the whole time. Those marble trout are really cool looking too, they remind me of tiger trout (brook X brown hybrids).

Have a great trip, and I hope you'll share some pics when you get back.

I'm fairly certain they are not char. They are of the genus salmo and are very closely related to brown trout. Maybe the fishing for them is similar to bulls?
