I can't believe it, our first day under 100 degrees. Right now, it's 99 degrees with some big thunder heads over the sierra's. Next week, looks like I'll have to bring out the fall clothing, short's and t-shirt.. yeah, I know what's different. Well, when you're retired and on a fixed income, I can't afford long pants and full sleeve t-shirts :-)

Or you could be in La Paz where it's 105 degrees, heat index 114 and chance of rain.... who needs a shower

Anyway, I've been reading reports on stripers on the lower american... Wading? I thinking about a couple days in the Sac area and maybe do some striper fishing on the American. I don't have any dates set but will play it by ear

Jay, I'm restricted to weekends at the moment (the job does limit my fishing time), but I'd be happy to take you out in my boat for Stripers if you'll be here on a Saturday or Sunday.

While I haven't been catching big numbers, I've been getting some every time I go out.

(You probably don't remember me, but Paul Egan introduced us at the Kiene's expo and we talked carp fishing for while.)

Our daughter from Colorado Springs just called complaining it is cold back there?

Mid-70s in Bodego Bay over on our coast for the next 10 days.

High '70s next week in Truckee, CA

Around 70 degrees in Santa Cruz, CA for the next week or so.

Mike, I remember talking to you at the Kiene fly fair. As a matter of fact, I might have you on video.

Bill, cold in colorado, 70's in Santa Cruz and Tahoe would be like winter time to me. I was in Monterey earlier in July and it was nice but pretty dang cold, especially when the fog came over the ocean. Something like the mid 50's. It felt great to get over the hill and back into the warm valley. The old bones can't take the cold anymore.

I noticed last night around Alder Creek area of the SFA that there was more moss on the rocks, but the big thing was that the flow is higher than last year and the water was deeper, which to me means there is also more snow and water than last year.

Scott, that's just not possible. The Schwartz declared a drought back in...March(?):---), even though you and Ed, and a few others have photos that show the opposite. The water level is just a figment of your imagination.:-k:lol:
