Snuck out after work and hit the delta after a dismal outing two weeks ago with high hopes. Started the night with a fish on about my 5th cast. So moral was high, did not get touched for the next couple of hours, was throwing a little frog colored popper and my bro was throwing the Ron Dong. After no fish for a while decided to change up flies. Brother puts on a pike fly and third cast Bam nice 2 lber that fought hard. I went to a special tie by Lee Haskins a Jungle Frog, pretty much a green gurgler with frog legs. Within five minutes it was fish on. For the next 30 minutes the fishing was good. We ended with 5 fish landed with a couple over the 2 lb mark. Don't know whether it was temperature or what but these fish hit hard and fought even harder. I have not had a LMB pull this hard all year and he was only 2 1/2 lbs. Overall a great night with some good fish.
Water temp was 75 and visibility was around 3-4 feet we had good moving water on the incoming tide.
