Oustanding Bob! Isn't that road to catch the Warner Lakes Redband cool! I went there 3 years ago and remember that shack. Did you submit for your CHTC certificate yet? Let me know if you need any help. I hold #5 & #57 and have caught all 12 fish in CA. I would love to see you do the same. Only roadblock is the Paiute Cutthroat. The fish I caught 15 years ago in a feeder creek to SKC below Llewellyn Falls was closed about 6-7 years ago. Still talk of opening SKC as a catch and release fishery so stay tuned. Also check out my current article in June/July 2009 issue of Salmon, Trout, & Steelheader Magazine as I give out some good info there too. Glad to see you are up to the challenge!

Don't make excuses. There is always a way if you are passionate about something. If money is tight look at ways to cut other costs so you can make the trips. Do it now before life gets more complicated and responsibilities increase.

I've been living off tuna sandwiches, white bread, and arnold palmers for the entire last month. Why? Umpqua Steelhead, Lower Sac trout, and a big speeding ticket to get to 'em.

I think those stream resident Lahontan cutts are the most beautiful of trouts! One day I'd like to actually catch one!
