The ole CP is doing pretty good.
Fished it this evening for a couple of hours.

The water was a bit off color, and the weed beds are non existent.

I landed four Bass and dropped another four.:crybaby: All around a pound and a half.

I also saw some new signs stating that residents could lose their season pass if caught feeding the geese.\\:D/
I guess they've identified the source of the nasty bacteria that Scott's been sampling.:\\
I wore waders.

HI Ed,

Thanks for the report.

By "off color" do you mean the water is stained but clear, reduced visibility from mud or sediment, or is a full on algae bloom starting up?

Which flies worked for you and how deep?

I'm also curious (and glad) that the weed beds are gone. When I went last month it was a chore trying to fish around and over the weeds. I figured the weeds would keep growing and effectively choke off the lake.

Anybody know details about weed growth and decline, in general and at Cameron Park specifically?

Thanks again for the report,

Pete

Pete, I'd go with stained but clear.

All Bass were hooked on top. I mainly stuck with an Umpqua Swimming Frog, but any froggy bug should work.
