Here is a report from Dave Ford from the CFFU annual Truckee outting:

__________________________________________________ _________________________

Well, I am up here now--The weather Is pleasant, maybe even a little
cool. Thunderstorms forecast for tomorrow, but good after that.

The drive up was a bit tough--LOTS of construction, and lots of single
lanes as a result--just take your time and keep an eye out for those
who don't see all the brake lights. It may be better on Friday if they
close down constructIon for the weekend.

Got the first fishing report--I hit Mt. Hardware to get their printed
report--but I first run Into guide Frank PIsciotta--he spoke to CFFU a
couple years ago about fishing up here--He tells me he saw his first
Green Drake on the Little Truckee today (but I noticed he was buying a
lot of Green Drake patterns).

According to the Mt. Hardware report, the Little Truckee River is producing on Green
Drake drys, PMDs and yellow stones (more than likely, these are Yellow
Sallys--a small yellow stonefly that are prevalent up here this time of
year). They also mention Calibates patterns.

For the big Truckee, its Green Drakes, yellow sallys and caddIs
patterns.

I should have verification tonight--Jim Christensen and Paula Butler
are on the Big Truckee right now (8 PM on Wednesday) tomorrow morning
they are off to Davis Lake --should have that report tomorrow night.

I call Christensen "ole Acid" because he's the acid test--If I don't
catch fish, and he doesn't either, its OK. But most of the time, I
don't catch fish and he does. Sort of like our friend Dell Clark!!

More tomorrow
