Jeff Putnam, an always popular fly casting instructor, will give a casting demonstration and class at the next California Fly Fishers Unlimited (CFFU) meeting on Tuesday July 7. He will start with fly casting techniques, and show common mistakes many people make in casting, as well as how to correct them. Jeff will also demonstrate the use of standard fly rods using two-handed Spey casting techniques.
A fly casting clinic and fly tying demonstration with club members will start at 6:15 pm, with Jeff’s casting demonstration starting at 7 pm. The meeting is held at Camp Pollock (Boy Scout Camp), 1501 Northgate Blvd., Sacramento. Guests interested in fly fishing are welcome to attend.
