So my good fishin' buddy "Notch" wants to come up to the North Valley for the day and do a little fishing. So, I'm like: "Great Notch, where do you want to go?" Over the course of three days of phone calls we go over a big list of options: Stripers, shad, or rainbows on the Sac, pond largemouth, creek smallies, or.......!!! all this good stuff we have fished together in June. We can't decide what to do and we're driving each other crazy. Finally, we're like: "We've got all day, lets hit it all!" So, we fish two locations on the Sac, Colusa and Red Bluff. We also squeeze in quick sessions on a creek and a farmpond. We didn't light up the fish at any particular location, and outside of one individual "thug" smallmouth we didn't get any big ones, but here's what we were able to gather up over the course of 15 hours on the water. By the end of the day this quest came to be know as: "The North Valley Roundup!"

That's great Matt......there is a ton of stuff going on this time of year right at sea level in this big Valley.

Still a little tired from all that casting...that was a hell of a day!

Too bad I didn't connect on that massive blow-up in Colusa first thing, that fish would have made the trip!

Next go around we should check off a Chinook and Sturgeon to bag every game fish the Sac has to offer. It should be possible?
