The cool weather and wind did not make it feel like it's shad fishing weather. At one point I wish I had a jacket but I stuck it out until dark. The bite was slow and I only caught one before the sun got off the water. From about 8:00 until it was dark I landed 20 more.

I went out last night at harrington. I got 2 right at 5:00, 3 and 5th casts. It shut down after that and I left around 8:00.

Nope, I need one more to make it. Looks like I'll have to set a new goal since I plan to keep at 'em until the season is over.

Dude I counted 24 fish in that pod when I floated over it, thats means you let 4 fish slip by.
Man I thought you were good, I guess I have to find a new hero.

Glad things turned on for you. We picked up about a half dozen more fish by the picket fence after we pulled anchor.

Fished Sailors Bar 6/9 7am-!0, cloudy, cold and a pretty good breeze going. No fish, but it was great to get out and give it a try. I have fish the American for shad the last 6 years, 4 or 5 times a year and have never seen a rattler, know it's prime area, but yesterday I walked up on what I'd guess was a 30''. I was lucky i still had my wadeing staff out and the noise of the metal tip made the snake move or I would have stepped on it. Not trying to scare anyone, just a reminder to pay attention. Be safe and have fun.
