Rucker Lake: 5/26

I went up there to see if there were any Goose Lake Redbands up there. The only thing I found were bugs (lots of them) & Smallies (who were eating the bugs). If you do go up there, try to use your stillwater techniques on the top water or near-surface. It was fun to say the least. I have a more updated report on my blog.

Really? There are redbands in there? I thought it was all bass all the time?

I didn't know Rucker had smallmouth - I've only caught what I thought were largemouth there (black eyes, horizontal stripes).

I'd heard about the redbands there but have never personally connected with one.
