Originated in 1974, this symposium offers exposure to the latest information on status, science, technology, philosophy, and preservation of cold-water wild-salmonid, in an international forum for professional wild trout biologists and fishery advocates. The tenth international Wild Trout Symposium will be held September 27th-30th, 2010 at the Holiday Inn in West Yellowstone, Montana, USA, adjacent to the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The primary cosponsors of this event include: the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the USDA Forest Service, the Trout and Salmon Foundation, the Federation of Fly Fishers, and Trout Unlimited.
Focusing on the needs of international wild trout professionals and fishery conservationists, the Wild Trout Symposium provides a valuable opportunity for information exchange and will equip participants to better conserve and restore these magnificent resources across the globe.
