Tying up a bunch of drys for Hot creek. Will be arriving in Mammoth lakes 6/17-6/20...Interested in hackle coloration preferances as well as sizes for PED, PMD..??

Also BWO sizes, hackle Med dun, drk, or light? Body color..olive, light green?

Caddis, sizes, patterns.

Second trip out west for me. Prefer fishing for brown trout with drys on spring creeks..

Thanks

WOW!!! Long way to go for some fishin'.... You're going to get a bunch of answers about the materials. So. I thought I suggest you look into a couple of Websites in the Southern California area, as well:

www.stevenojai.tripod.com/ (this website includes an extensive fly pattern database with tying instructions for many of the patterns)

www.reelmammothadventures.com/ (Dave Neal is the proprietor, provides periodic reports and has been very helpful to members of this BB about flies, etc.)

Hope you have a good trip and catch a bunch of fish. :D :D :D

Well, most of the time will be spent with family I have out there. I managed to get a couple of days in for fishing though. Last year we camped and fished Burney falls, Hat, Pitt...This year it's hot creek!

Thanks for the links.
