Let's see if we can add the water temps to our fishing reports again this year.
I think it really helps to see where the fisheries are in relation to the water temps through out the season.
I believe that tout like to be around 55 to 65 degrees so right now in streams like the Truckee and N F of the Yuba you might find they are way below that.
Other will be in that range already.
Right now, early season you might find a stream you are on is in the low 50s or high 40s and the fish will not be going wild yet.
If you go a lot every summer for trout then just go but if you are like me and don't get out a lot its nice to go when the fish are suicidal......
