For local fishing around Sacramento this time of year is a lot of fun.
We have Stripers in most all the rivers in the summer which is becoming more evident.
Along with the Stripers we have Shad in from the ocean to spawn. May/June are the top months for them, especially for up river wade fishing.
The is Warm Water time with bass and panfish very active in tons of places.
Low to mid elevation trout lakes and streams are getting better with June a huge month.
I hope many of you can get out now before that mid-summer (August) heat slows down the day time fishing.
