Any of you guys figure out how to tie the Brokeback Midge similar to the one from Sierra Flyfishers from Mammoth Lake area??? It looks like a pretty neat fly!

I assume you mean like these: http://www.sierradrifters.com/Fly%20Sales.htm

It appears to be tied like any other articulated pattern. Tie the rear section however you like, then anchor it to the second hook using a small loop of monofilament (in this case looks like the rear hook is a light wire hook [TMC2487?] tied upside down) tied down tightly on the front hook. Looks like their rear section is a krystal flash tail/shuck with a thread body.

Tie the front fly however you like (their's looks like black thread or flashabou with a red wire rib and a copper bead) on a simliar or slightly larger hook (picture could be a #16 TMC2499SPBL, so rear hook might be a #18) and then cut off the bottom part of the hook on the rear section.

Here's an articulated woolly bugger example that pretty much is the same thing: http://www.flyguysoutfitting.com/articulatedbugger.html

Way too much effort for a midge pattern in my mind, but one has to generate fly sales somehow...

Thank's for your help...even tho it is a little more work I like a little wiggle in the tail, if you know what I mean!
