We have lots of good fly fishing locally at the low elevation fisheries in Nor Cal.

River flows are high now which is bringing in schools of Stripers and American Shad.

Stripers are being hooked from the Delta north to Colusa on the Sacramento River. Some are in the Feather and American too.

Shad are making their spawning migration as well but wading is not too good for them yet. Mid-May/June should be the time to wade for them.

Warm-water species are starting to get active too. Ponds, lakes, streams, reservoirs and the delta have been good.

Try to get out in the next 6 weeks locally because by the 4th of July it will start getting very hot down here in the Valley....

June/July should be good for trout at the mid-elevations.

Heard we are at 80% snow pack.

**For Nor Cal folks in August we like to hit the high country (8,000'+) or go to the cool Pacific coast.
