It was a treat to watch both Simon and Doug compete with the greatest casters in the world yesterday!

I didn't make the two hour drive today to watch the finals and found myself checking my computer frequently for the final results...I should have gone!

Congratulations to Simon on his repeat victory this year!!!

Doug accounted well for himself as well taking seventh place...amazingly, only 8' 3" per cast separated him from Simon in first place with five of the best casters in the world placing between them.

Join me in recognizing and applauding the efforts of our "local talent"!!! They are truly among the best in the world...

That a boy, it's awesome to see a local boy up there with the top casters from all over the world. It seems to me like he is one of the best in the world. And I also feel very privaleged that he has taken me under his wing and is teaching me how to spey cast, and about single malt scotch...
