OK, so it seems my mind has been consumed with tying flies--materials, hooks, techniques, to throw, for show, blah, blah, blah. But I now have confirmed evidence that I've fallen into a tying vector from which I cannot escape. When your first thoughts are, "How do I repair this? Hmmm... I know. I have some 2mm foam that just might do the trick."

Yeah, I know the body proportions are a little off and the foam could've been a little bit wider, but hey, clamping this down without crushing it and trying to pull off a whip finish was challenge enough.
