Hit the Yuba again to see if I could do better than earlier this week. Went with Scott V this time, and apparently when there are two Scotts, only one can catch fish? Maybe?

Unfortunately SV got the skunk this time, whereas I got a fat sucker, and three healthy 'bows. I'm waiting for him to send me pics of the "golden trout" and my first 'bow.

Here's a nice 17" buck:

Here's Scott doing his darndest to get the fish jumping all around us to hit SOMETHING!

And you can probably guess what happened to prompt THIS scene:

Yeah, the river went up 100 CFS or so since Wednesday so we tried to cross at a different place this time. Wrong choice! No injury or damage, but we both took a dunk. The weather was nice enough to do a fine job of drying things out rather quickly.

This was the first time that I successfully got any trout in moving water under an indicator flyfishing. Two fish (one being the sucker!) on a version of a lightning bug, and two on princes, both of my tying! :)

What fun!
