Just looked at the CDEC website. Flows on the American will be going up to 2,000 CFS on April 1st. Does anyone have and idea why they are starting to release more water this early. It seems a little bit early for farmers to be needing water. Is there that much snow in the mountains that they need to make room for runoff, I don't think so. Hopefully, the increased flows will bring some spring steelies into the river.

I think the first step in understanding the Flow releases would be to know who (they)
actually are. In the past I have heard that the Flows are actually controlled by people
on the East Coast. This may not be true, but it would not suprise me either?????

The water has to be released. After all, our benevolent Governator declared a drought when we got our best rain. It just wouldn't do to make him have to eat his words.[-X

Another man made drought year in the makings my friends.
