Hey Guys,
Rob here from the Reno Fly Shop.
My last guide trip to the lake was Wednesday the 18th. The fishing is still slow due to cold water temps. The water is still in the mid to upper 40's. By next week I expect the fishing to improve.
I had a guide trip Wednesday and we caught 6 fish. We started at Pelican to no avail. before lunch we went around to the South end of the lake and the wind was perfect. there were a few fish hanging out and my client managed to sweak out 6 fish in three hours at Dago Bay. The fish are there and it is worth the extra 15 minute drive. this pattern is common for the pre-spawn. i have caught fish down there for years when it is slow and crowded elsewhere.
Good Luck
Rob
