We carry Norm Norlander's spinning Nor-Vise at the shop with all the accessories.

You might have seen Norm at the Pleaston show.

Jack Murakoshi will be using one at our annual Expo April 18, Saturday if you want to see one in action.

Not only will I be tying with the Nor-Vise, I'll show you a couple new jaws that's available, actually only one is available. I've been tying on this vise now for 4 years and enjoyed every fly that has been put through the jaws. Norm's service is the best I've dealt with and he always looking and listening for new improvements. You've seen him at all the shows doing his magical tying skills with the vise. Nothing magical about it, it's called "practice" and you too can tie just like um.
Like I've mentioned before, no more wrapping dubbing on thread and then wrapping the thread on the hook shank and trying to avoid the bobbin hanging down.

If I can remember, I'll bring some materials to tie up a few simple carp flies so you can see how easy it is too work with the vise.

See you in April

Jack AKA Jay

PS I also use a Renzetti Master Vise

I like my Norlander but I've always had issues with the bobbins. It took a while but when I got good... I was able to crank out flies at a very speedy pace. I still stick to my Renzetti for day to day tying.
